After finally uploading my movie 'High School Showdown' to youtube, I recently learned that the music had been muted due to two copy right infringements from wmg and sony media group or something. As you would expect, this annoyed me greatly. What annoyed me more however, was the fact that I have about ten songs on this video, and I have no idea which songs are the problem (and even if I did, I wouldn't neccessarily want to change them). So rather than spending weeks uploading the video minus a song to find out which songs are the problem, I'd like to know if anyone knows any other sites where I could put my video up with ease and not have this problem.
Thanks.
You could always try to upload it to youtube again without changing anything and see if they notice.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many videos on there that use unlicensed music it's not funny. You were probably just unlucky to have been caught. They probably do it like a random breath test: you don't know where; you don't know when...
Otherwise, I am looking into putting students' films direct on the school website. Easier access for people. I'll keep you posted as to how that turns out.
YOu'll be happy to know Inglourious Basterds is scoring pretty well with the critics. Tarantino has still got it!
Alright, thanks for the tip. And yeah, I've been keeping up to date with all the reviews and such, can't wait to see it, I'm soooo glad it's MA and not R, I thought I'd have to sneak into Cessnock's cinemas for a while there.
ReplyDeleteIm pretty sure the reason theirs so many Videos out their with unlicensed music is because they uploaded them a fair while ago, back when youtube didnt really have a filter except for like Sexually Explict stuff, but now im pretty sure Youtube have got a filter that automatically scans through all videos and sees if it mates with any of its Companions music ie Sony.
